Senior Technical Lead

Position overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Lead to provide technical leadership across enterprise IT initiatives. This role will work closely with developers, architects, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, business stakeholders, vendors, and project managers to design and deliver reliable, scalable, and secure technology solutions.

The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills and will be comfortable leading technical teams and complex technology initiatives from design through implementation and production support.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership and direction for IT projects, applications, infrastructure, and technology initiatives.
Lead technical design, architecture discussions, solution assessments, and implementation planning.
Translate business and technical requirements into scalable and secure technology solutions.
Coordinate activities across application development, infrastructure, cloud, data, cybersecurity, and operations teams.
Review technical designs, code, configurations, integrations, and implementation plans.
Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex technical issues.
Establish technical standards, best practices, and development and implementation guidelines.
Support application deployments, infrastructure changes, system integrations, upgrades, and production releases.
Work with project and program managers to develop technical estimates, schedules, dependencies, risks, and resource requirements.
Coordinate with third-party vendors and technology partners on technical deliverables and solutions.
Ensure solutions meet security, performance, scalability, availability, and compliance requirements.
Mentor engineers, developers, and other technical team members.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve efficiency, reliability, and business value.
Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, system specifications, and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
8+ years of experience in IT, with demonstrated technical leadership experience.
Strong experience leading technical teams and enterprise technology initiatives.
Broad knowledge of applications, databases, APIs, cloud, infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity.
Experience with software development, system integration, or enterprise technology implementations.
Experience with Azure, AWS, or other cloud platforms.
Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery methodologies.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, decision-making, and communication skills.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Azure/AWS, .NET, Java, APIs, SQL, microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD.
Experience with enterprise architecture and technology modernization.
Knowledge of cybersecurity, cloud security, and secure development practices.
Experience with ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jira, or similar enterprise tools.
Experience working with vendors, system integrators, and distributed technical teams.
IT certifications such as PMP, ITIL, AWS/Azure, TOGAF, or similar are a plus.
