About the Role
BlueArcSys LLC is seeking an experienced Information Security Manager with a strong background in securing enterprise information systems. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, risk management, and security operations, with a proven track record of protecting sensitive data and ensuring compliance with federal standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of security policies, standards, and procedures
- Manage security operations, including monitoring, incident response, and threat analysis
- Oversee vulnerability management and ensure timely remediation of security gaps
- Conduct risk assessments and security audits of information systems and infrastructure
- Ensure compliance with federal security regulations, frameworks, and best practices (e.g., NIST, FISMA)
- Collaborate with IT, development, and leadership teams to implement secure architectures
- Manage security awareness training and programs across the organization
- Develop and maintain security documentation, reports, and compliance evidence
- Provide guidance on secure development practices and risk mitigation strategies
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship (mandatory)
- Ability to successfully complete a U.S. government background check
- 5+ years of experience in information security, cybersecurity, or related fields
- Strong understanding of NIST, FISMA, RMF, and other federal cybersecurity frameworks
- Experience in security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, and risk assessment
- Hands-on experience with SIEMs, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and network security tools
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple security initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, CEH, or GSEC
- Experience supporting government or defense clients
- Background in cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GovCloud)
- Experience in secure software development practices
