About the Role
BlueArcSys LLC is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in desktop application development and at least 5 years of relevant project management experience. The ideal candidate will be PMP-certified and capable of leading complex software development projects for government clients. This position requires exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, plan, and execute desktop application development projects from initiation to deployment
- Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and deliverables
- Coordinate with software developers, QA teams, stakeholders, and government clients
- Ensure project compliance with federal standards, security guidelines, and contract requirements
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and status updates
- Conduct project meetings and manage communication across all levels
- Implement process improvements and best practices in project management
- Ensure high-quality, secure, and timely delivery of software solutions
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship (mandatory)
- Ability to successfully complete a U.S. government background check
- PMP Certification (required)
- 5+ years of experience in project management, specifically in desktop application development
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and/or Waterfall methodologies
- Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional software teams
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with government or defense clients
- Knowledge of secure software development practices
- Technical background or familiarity with desktop technologies (.NET, C#, WPF, Java, etc.)
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, or similar tools
