Software Developer (Desktop Applications)

About the Role

BlueArcSys LLC is seeking a talented Software Developer with at least 3 years of experience in desktop application development. This role is ideal for a developer who enjoys building secure, high-performance software solutions and is ready to support government and federal clients.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, test, and maintain desktop applications using modern frameworks and technologies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design technical solutions
Optimize applications for speed, security, and scalability
Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing software
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
Participate in code reviews and ensure best practices in software development
Support integration, deployment, and maintenance efforts for government projects

Required Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship (mandatory)
Ability to successfully complete a U.S. government background check
3+ years of experience developing desktop applications
Strong proficiency with one or more desktop development technologies (e.g., .NET, C#, WPF, JavaFX, Electron, Qt, etc.)
Experience with version control tools such as Git
Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with government or defense clients
Familiarity with secure coding standards
Knowledge of cloud or virtualization environments
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools
