Senior Technical Data Architect

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Data Architect to design and lead enterprise data architecture solutions that support business applications, analytics, reporting, and digital transformation initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data architecture, data modeling, databases, cloud platforms, data integration, and data governance, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable and secure technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design and maintain enterprise data architecture, data models, and technical data solutions.
Develop data architecture strategies aligned with business and technology objectives.
Design data warehouses, data lakes, lakehouses, and modern cloud data platforms.
Develop logical, physical, and conceptual data models.
Define data integration, ETL/ELT, data pipelines, and data transformation strategies.
Work with development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, analytics, and business teams to deliver data solutions.
Design and optimize databases, data structures, and high-volume data environments.
Establish standards for data quality, security, privacy, governance, and data lifecycle management.
Evaluate and recommend data technologies, platforms, and architecture patterns.
Support integration of data from enterprise applications, APIs, third-party systems, and other data sources.
Identify performance, scalability, and data quality issues and develop technical solutions.
Create and maintain technical architecture diagrams, data models, standards, and documentation.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to data engineers, developers, and analysts.
Support cloud migration, application modernization, and enterprise data transformation initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
8+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, database architecture, or a related technical role.
Strong knowledge of data modeling, database architecture, SQL, and data integration.
Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar platforms.
Experience designing data warehouses, data lakes, or lakehouse architectures.
Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines.
Experience with cloud data platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
Strong understanding of data security, governance, quality, and privacy.
Excellent technical, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Snowflake, AWS Glue, Redshift, or similar technologies.
Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other analytics platforms.
Knowledge of Python, Spark, Kafka, APIs, and microservices.
Experience with enterprise data governance and metadata management.
Experience with cloud migration and modernization programs.
Familiarity with AI/ML data architectures and modern AI data platforms is a plus.
Experience leading technical architecture initiatives and mentoring engineering teams.
