Senior QA Lead

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Lead to lead quality assurance activities across enterprise applications and technology initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing test strategies, leading QA teams, coordinating testing activities, and ensuring applications meet functional, performance, security, and business requirements before production release.

The successful candidate will work closely with business analysts, developers, project managers, technical teams, and business stakeholders throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage QA and testing activities across multiple IT projects and applications.
Develop test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and testing schedules.
Lead functional, integration, system, regression, UAT, performance, and production readiness testing.
Establish QA standards, processes, best practices, and quality metrics.
Coordinate QA resources, testing schedules, environments, and dependencies.
Review business and technical requirements to ensure they are testable, complete, and traceable.
Work closely with developers and analysts to identify, document, prioritize, and resolve defects.
Manage defect tracking, root-cause analysis, and defect resolution through closure.
Support test automation and identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency.
Coordinate with business stakeholders during UAT and production certification.
Validate application integrations, APIs, databases, data flows, and system interfaces.
Monitor testing progress, risks, issues, and quality metrics and provide status reports to IT leadership.
Ensure testing activities align with security, compliance, and organizational quality standards.
Support release management, deployment validation, and post-production verification.
Mentor QA analysts and engineers and provide technical and process guidance.
Continuously improve QA processes, tools, automation, and testing methodologies.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
7+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing, with demonstrated QA leadership experience.
Strong knowledge of SDLC, QA methodologies, test management, and defect management.
Experience leading functional, integration, regression, UAT, and system testing.
Experience with manual and automated testing.
Experience with testing tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Selenium, or similar platforms.
Strong understanding of APIs, databases, SQL, system integrations, and enterprise applications.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools.
Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
Experience with CI/CD and DevOps testing practices.
Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
Experience testing cloud-based applications and platforms such as Azure or AWS.
Knowledge of application security testing and OWASP principles.
Experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery methodologies.
ISTQB, CSQA, PMP, or similar certification is a plus.
Experience mentoring QA teams and leading enterprise testing initiatives.
